CBC BANK is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program through June 30, 2010. Under that program all noninterest-bearing and NOW transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Starting on July 1, 2010, CBC Bank will be opting out of this program and funds held in noninterest-bearing and NOW transaction accounts will no longer be guaranteed in full under the Transaction Guarantee program, but will be insured up to $250,000.00 under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and is separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
